The kids and I got our H1N1 shots today. This was the first day they were giving the shots to the general public — the only day in this town — so I was little concerned about how long we'd have to wait. And then when we got there and realized they had people directing traffic I was even more concerned. But we were in and out of the clinic in less than hour. My arm is a little sore but no more so than with the regular flu shot.

One of my children was not happy about the whole thing though. :(

Also, I made turkey stock with the remains from Saturday.

And then you said

Tell the unhappy child that a shot is better than missing nine days of school and feeling crappy. Since we are being told to stay away from clinics and hospitals unless symptoms are severe, my sick child has not been officially diagnosed with H1N1. However, the public health nurse said they are seeing a lot of cases in our school and was quite confident in her diagnosis. It's no fun! Y (who has a slightly milder version - stiff neck, fever, and no energy)
