Impressing the kids.

I had the house to myself for the day. Of course, I slept for half of it but still. The weird thing was, the afternoon went very slowly. Everytime I looked at the clock, I was surprised that it wasn't later. I expected it would be the other way around.

Yesterday, at the library, I was looking at the graphic novels. I thought I'd give one a try but I didn't know what to pick. The selection was small and I wanted something by a Canadian (of course) so when I saw a book by Seth, I grabbed it.

All I knew about Seth was that he's Canadian, he's won awards, and he's highly regarded. I skimmed his bio at the back (I always read those things, even for authors I'm extremely familiar with), then took the book over to L. I gave a bit of background first, then said, "Read this." When K was done work, I did the same thing with her. Both reactions? "Oh, cool!!" Which is pretty much what I thought, too.
