My parents are camping in the area while they see a couple of plays so they invited me and the kids out for dinner tonight. We went to a local inn known affectionately as The Rubber Boot, or simply, The Boot. The food was good and my Mom was starstruck briefly when one of the actresses from the play she had just seen walked by.
After dinner, we hung out at the campground for a while. It's not the kind of campground that you go to for a weekend because there's nothing to do at the campground itself. Rather, it's the kind of place that you stay at for a specific reason or event or just as somewhere to stop before continuing your journey. Nice though, and big. Or maybe it just seemed big because it was nearly empty.
L drove home and I can tell that her confidence is increasing. We had a discussion about stopping at corners, about how you should stop at the white line, then ease up until you can see properly (which she usually does). I told her that she should always stop at the white line, at least until she's passed all of her driving tests. Then she can ignore it like the rest of us do.
