For Mother's Day, we went shopping. I'm not a big fan of shopping (unless it's for books or music) but things went really well and the day was actually fun.
L needed a dress for her formal which is coming up in a couple of weeks. She rarely (and I mean RARELY) wears dresses so it can be a bit of a challenge to find something she likes. But we did the smart thing and headed straight to the store where she found her grade 8 grad dress - Le Chateau.
And wonder of wonders, she found one she liked fairly quickly. The shoes took a bit longer and involved visiting most of the shoe stores in the mall before returning to Le Chateau to pick up ones she'd tried on there. A quick trip to La Senza and we were done! Relatively painless overall.
No trip to the city is complete without a visit to Chapters so we headed there next. K & I finished off our gift cards (three books for me) and Ice picked up a couple for himself. Then we had dinner at Jack Astor's before heading home.
Not a typical Mother's Day for me but a good one nonetheless.
