Interview with L, age 17.

Taken from Violet.

I better pack a bag if we're going to do all the things she wants to do.

What is something I always say to you?
You're crazy.
What makes me happy?
When the whole family is getting along at supper or getting along in general.
What makes me sad?
The news.
How do I make you laugh?
You say something funny. And when you pick on K.
What do you think I was like as a child?
Pretty much the same as me except you spent more time at the library, not playing road hockey.
How old am I?
46?
How tall am I?
178cm.
What is my favorite thing to do?
Read for fun, not for reviews.
What do I do when you're not around?
Whatever you normally do, nothing different. Maybe laugh less.
If I become famous, what will it be for?
Perhaps for having a great site. Or maybe you'll crochet something amazing.
What am I really good at?
Listening.
What am I not really good at?
Typing on your iPod. Snapping your fingers.
What is my job?
You own a couple websites. And you're also a mother.
What is my favorite food?
Scalloped potatoes.
What makes you proud of me?
I think it's cool that my friends like you and you're up on the latest technology and you understand it, not like most parents.
What makes me proud of you?
I vacuum a lot. I swiffer.
What do you and I do together?
Watch TV.
How are we the same?
Dirty minds. Lack of interest in fashion and that nonsense.
How are you and I different?
Our height. I'm not afraid of math or spiders.
How do you know that I love you?
You let me live here. There are occasional random hugs.
What is one thing you wish you could change about me?
Nothing.
What do you wish you could go and do with me?
We would go to Toronto and go to the AGO and be swanky because that's how we roll. And we'd go to Canada's Wonderland and ride Behemoth and be all scared. And we'll go to the bathrooms at the Eaton Centre. And then we'd go to New York and go to Broadway and watch all the musicals in good seats. And then we'd come home and we'd watch some movies that you think I should watch. That is all.
