Evidence.

When Newt and Maryann were here over the Christmas break, we played our usual games of Youker, the Euchre Drinking Game. Late in the evening, Ice turned on the digital voice recorder that I received for Christmas and let it run for fifteen minutes or so. We were not aware of this. Or maybe everyone else was. *I* was not.

I listened to the recording tonight.

Newt was very quiet for the first half, probably because she was broken by that point. Maryann was pretty quiet too, possibly because she was at the far end of the table, possibly because she's almost always quieter than the rest of us. Ice swore in nearly every sentence, mostly at me. And I never shut up. There was some singing, some silly accents, some agitating of the dog, a discussion about how I should be twittering my many trips to the bathroom, and lots and lots of laughter.

Mostly though, it's evidence that playing four games of youker is a bad idea and that the four of us have a really really good time together.

I think I'll keep it.
