Bargain shopping.

Today, I went out to get my driver's licence renewed. I thought this would be a good day since the sun was shining for a change and it looked reasonably nice. That sun was deceiving though; it was still damn cold out there.

I have no idea what my photo looked like but I'm sure it will be just as scary as every other driver's licence photo I've ever had.

On the way home, we stopped at the dollar store* because I wanted to pick up a notepad. I didn't have any cash on me (I rarely do) and in order to use my debit card, I had to spend at least five dollars. So K and I wandered around the store and I picked up some odds and ends. Thirty-four dollars later, we left.

K found this extremely amusing. I told her I was never going to the dollar store with her again.

When I told L how much I'd spent, she said, "What did you do? Buy a couch?"

Smartass.

* It's not officially called the "dollar store" anymore since very few things are only one dollar. I mention this because, despite what Ice thought, I did NOT buy thirty-four items.
