Snow day #7 (2007-8).

L was thrilled, K was disappointed because she was supposed to have a basketball tournament today, J was indifferent.

So, Canada Reads didn't finish up the way I thought it should. Zaib Shaikh made Not Wanted on the Voyage sound like a book you should read because it would be good for you. All the talk about the feminist aspect and the environment and climate change and blah blah blah. And it probably didn't help that at least one panelist missed the point of the talking cat, the singing sheep, and the unicorn. I'm not entirely disappointed that King Leary won but Not Wanted on the Voyage is a better book. In my opinion, of course.

Anyway, enough of that.

The kitten is doing well. A little too well maybe. She runs around the house like a crazy thing (when she's not sprawled out sleeping) and I find candy wrappers and used tissues spread around everywhere every damn day. The dog looks like an angel in comparison. Well, except that she (Abby) eats Stevie's food every chance she gets.

March break starts at 3:10pm tomorrow. Can't wait.

And then you said

I wanted "Icefields" to win, because I really loved it when I read it some years ago. Plus I liked Steve MacLean.
