An unusually busy Saturday (for me).
I got up early today because I had to go into town before noon to get my driver's licence renewed. Me being me though, we didn't leave the house until 20 minutes before the office was supposed to close. Shouldn't have been a problem since it only takes 10 minutes or less to get there except... we got stuck behind a snowplow and the 15 vehicles behind it. Got to the licence office with less than a minute to spare (if that). Anyway, it's done. Scary picture taken and all.
Visited with Ice's father for a bit. The (former) bakery has been rented and the new folks take over Feb. 1st so they've been holding an indoor yard sale to get rid of some stuff before then. I told him I'd take any books he didn't sell, which seemed to make him happy, and Ice suggested that he store any unsold items and sell them at our community-wide yard sale in May. That seemed to make him even happier.
Got the groceries. It takes twice as long to do that when I come along. Costs more money, too.
Came home and made minestrone soup for supper. Although it turned out to be more like vegetable and pasta stew than soup. Tasted good though.
We were invited out to Kelly's tonight as they were having a band. We were also asked to get together with another couple to play cards. Didn't do either though because Ice has a nasty cold and feels like crap. He didn't even go to work this morning which is very unusual. So, instead, I did 5 loads of laundry and fell asleep watching a movie.
Such an exciting life I lead.
