Netscape, it's been good to know ya.
I know I've bitched and complained about what a pain in the ass it is to design webpages that work in Netscape 4.x but I was very sad when I heard earlier this week that AOL pulled the plug. As Eric Meyer says on his blog, “another pioneering force of the Web has just been painfully dimmed.”
Dave Shea's comment made me laugh though.
And for those who are wondering, this will not affect the ODP.
In other news...
...Ice should only have one more week left out of town. I know I said that a couple of weeks ago but it turns out that his bridge job starts in August, not July. Still not sure how that's going to affect his holidays.
...the pup is doing well and keeping me busy. He's very effective at finding all the little toys /pieces of Lego /pencils /crayons /whatever that the kids leave on the floor. I can't promise a picture of him but I'll try.
...after a couple of weeks of feeling completely overwhelmed by everything, the web design bug is starting to return. Expect new AF sections soon-ish.
