'Tis the season.
Trying to fit 7 days worth of stuff into less than 2.5 days is a bit of a challenge. It's not such a big deal for the rest of the year but for December, it's going to be a pain in the ass. I'm really not sure how we're going to get everything done before Christmas. A lot of this stuff, like the tree and decorating and some shopping, usually gets done in the evening during the week.
My calendar looks like this so far:
Dec. 2 - Report cards come home
Dec. 6 - PA day, parent-teacher interviews, kids to Oma & Opa's, pick up tree, shopping?
Dec. 7 - shopping?, JMR Christmas party, Kelly's if the xmas party sucks and, of course, if Roland feels like working that night
Dec. 8 - L's bday party, decorate tree?
Dec. 9 - L's birthday
Dec. 14 - take J to Mom & Dad's, take the other two to movie, shopping?
Dec. 15 - pick up J, shopping?
Dec. 16 - rehearsal for school concert (the kids like it when I'm there and I have to admit, it's kinda fun. more relaxed)
Dec. 18 - actual school concert (have to go to this too since Ice won't be able to. usually I go to the rehearsal and he goes to the actual concert)
Dec. 19 or 20 - Newt's coming!
Dec. 20 - last day of school, kids go skating in the morning (with the school)
Dec. 22 - Christmas with the in-laws
Dec. 24 - church program
Dec. 25 - Mom & Dad's
Dec. 26 to the end of February - sleep
Might not seem like all that much to most people but, for me, it is. I don't like shopping and it stresses me out. Ah well, it'll get done. It always does.
There's one other major event that might be on the schedule for December, which will change my personal lifestyle if it happens, but.... since it's not a sure thing yet, I didn't list it.
