The "ewww" factor was set extremely high in this movie. It wasn't scary but it did keep me on edge waiting for the next disgusting scene. The dialogue was terrible, the acting wasn't much better, the screaming was on cue, and it was sometimes funny but never when it was supposed to be. I've never been able to sit through the original and I'm sorry I sat through this remake. Skip it.
Added 14 December 2005 at 6:35 PMThere were plenty of ridiculous and too-stereotypical horror effects like row upon row of waving sheets on a clothes line in front of a backlit house. It was way over the top and repetitive. And since when does a horror film include follow-the-bouncing-boobies shots? Definitely skip this one.
