Directed by: Wolfgang Petersen
Starring: Eric Bana, Julian Glover, Brian Cox, Nathan Jones, Adoni Maropis, Jacob Smith, Brad Pitt, John Shrapnel, Brendan Gleeson, Diane Kruger, Orlando Bloom, Siri Svegler, Lucie Barat, Ken Bones
Synopsis: Helen has left her husband and now all hell is breaking loose. Very loosely based on Homer's The Iliad.
Really long movie, really short decade. I liked Bana a lot and the choreography in the one-on-one fight scenes was good but there were too many boring parts to make this movie worth watching.
It's big, it's epic, everyone is pretty. The end.
The costumes, ships and scenery are all stunning. Pitt is buff, long haired, in a skirt, has a terrible accent, and poses often. Orlando is very pretty. Wooden, but pretty. The story deviates sharply from the book, and generally it's all about everyone being pretty. Except for the llamas that really were out of place.
Like Ripley says, it's far too long for such a short decade.Added 10 October 2005 at 3:14 PM
