The story reminded me a lot of Aliens, I'm pretty sure the background sounds were from "Space: 1999", and the engine resembled a medieval torture device. There were some wicked cool effects though (especially the corpse-sicle!) and enough tension to almost make it work. Don't go out of your way to see it.
