Ripley's movie review

Why does The Rock have a hair stylist? And three security guys? Better yet, why did I stick around to watch the credits?

On the negative side: Lousy directing, bad camera work, mediocre acting, very little resemblance to the original story.

On the plus side: The Rock poses a lot, giving us ample opportunity to admire his muscles and rather spectacular chest, Knoxville is funny now and then, and the movie is very short.

The original is much better. Avoid this one.

Newt's movie review

Gratuitous Rock cheez with an extra helping of truly bad acting. But there are fights! Explosions! Guns! Partial nudity! But that's about it. Skip the flick.

I, too, was wondering why the Rock had a hair stylist (Rachel Solow for those inquiring) and why an 86 minute movie has more than 10 minutes of credits.
