Richardson was great. She played two parts (or more, depending on how you look at it) and in one scene, she switched characters with just a toss of her head. Remarkable. Fiennes was also good but his character had a necessarily limited range. The story was fascinating and disturbing but the movie held the viewer at a distance so it was hard to relate emotionally to anything. I think that was intentional but, regardless, it's worth watching.
