It is the graphic novels in motion.
It is a brilliant adaptation of Frank Miller's work, and so very true to the genre. Each shot was exceptional, the casting was inspired, and the character portrayals were amazing. It's subtly graphic; the artwork is stunning; the attention to detail phenomenal; the sparing use of colour just fantastic; the stunts, effects and make-up were incredible.... I have nothing but good things to say about this film. That being said, if you're not into the comic book style, then this one likely won't work for you. Otherwise: see it, own it, buy the books.Added 06 April 2005 at 8:35 PM
It looked great, the acting was good (particularly Rourke and Murphy), the stunts/action scenes were in true comic book fashion, and I was grateful for the lack of colour more than once. I didn't think it was a great movie but it was pretty good.
