If you can make it through the first twenty minutes, then you can make it through the film. Otherwise, you are right to turn it off. All the sordid stories are introduced in the beginning thus making it disjointed, but if you manage to keep the stories separate and straight then the cross-overs are good. (I think that was almost as complex as the tale.) The film-within-a-film with the transition from hand-held digital to conventional film you will either appreciate or hate; there really is no inbetween. If you are in the mood for paying close attention to a mediocre storyline, then this may well be the movie for you.
