Ripley's movie review
Firth was very good (and naked a lot) and Burton was good. The story had moments of great intensity and long moments of tedium, mostly because I wasn't all that interested in the doctor's personal angst. The climax of the movie, however, will stick with me for a very long time. It was horrifying. Even though I knew it was coming, I wasn't prepared for how brutal it would be.
