Synopsis: A traumatic childhood event ties three men together when another tragedy occurs years later.
Powerful, depressing, dark. Very dark. I've always considered Sean Penn to be one of the best actors out there but he blew me away with this movie. Wow. I've never been a big fan of Tim Robbins but he was also brilliant. In fact, the entire cast was outstanding. The story was complicated but very good, the lighting was perfect, everything was top-notch. Highly recommended.
Penn's performance was powerful and somewhat suprising and breathed the life into the entire movie. It kept my unwaning interest from the opening. Like Ripley says, dark and depressing, but very well done. See it.Added 22 January 2005 at 5:26 PM
