Not as offbeat as the first one, it's more of a standard horror movie. Creepy (cold) locations, creepy kid, lots of "oh my god I can't look" scenes, good makeup, same dark humour but not as much of it, and the music is really well done. Considering the ads for it made me think it was going to be terrible and a huge disappointment, I was pleasantly surprised. Although maybe "pleasantly" isn't the right word. Worth watching.
It's so very Canadian it includes a healthy respect for curling. How can I not love that? It's not nearly as humourous as the first, and felt a little long at times, but I still really enjoyed it. It's B's time to shine.
And when you watch it again, remember this:
Rocky runs, Rocky plays, Rocky misses the good old days.
