Directed by: Ulu Grosbard
Starring: Dustin Hoffman, Theresa Russell, Gary Busey, Harry Dean Stanton, M. Emmet Walsh, Rita Taggart, Kathy Bates, Sandy Baron, Jake Busey
Synopsis: A newly paroled con tries to play by the rules.
Hoffman's monotone for the first part nearly put me to sleep but then there was a sudden change and the movie got considerably more interesting. He was very good from that point on, Walsh and Stanton were good, Russell and Bates were very young (the second movie for both) but good, Jake Busey was even younger, and Gary Busey was great although his part was small. Worth watching.
Also, there's a brief flash of full frontal male nudity, although the guy's about 80 years old.
