Synopsis: A couple of experienced cowboys and their helpers run afoul of a nasty cattle baron. Afoul. I like that word.
Weak dialogue and predictable story but the scenery was gorgeous and I loved the gunfight. It was surprising and really well done. Costner was ok, possibly because he had limited lines and looked really good as a cowboy, and Bening was alright. Duvall, on the other hand, made his lines sound even worse than they were.
It's not a great movie but it's well made and it has a certain something, a quality that I can't quite define, that makes it worth watching.
