Tom Cruise was exactly the wrong choice for his role. So was Banderas. Everyone else was fine, even Pitt, but I can't figure why anyone would cast Cruise for this.
Anyway... the scenery was great, the sets and settings were excellent, the screenplay was good, Dunst was marvelous, but I just couldn't get past Cruise. Read the book.
