Newt's movie review

There are some extremely cool effects in this one like the explosion of a Bird of Prey, the stellar cartography, LCARS, and saucer separation to name just a few. There's also a lesson to be learned: never ever let Riker drive the ship.

Ripley's movie review

Some cool explosions, not much humour (or, at least, not much humour that's actually funny), and I didn't care for the story at all. It's not a great introduction to The Next Generation crew but I suppose it could have been worse.
