Ripley's movie review

I thought the trailers for this movie made it look pretty lame but it turned out to be sweet, harmless, and relatively funny.

Ferrell did a good job of portraying Buddy's innocence and not turning the character into a cartoon. Whenever he did something "wrong", he didn't look stupid; the other person did. And Ed Asner was a surprisingly good choice for Santa.

Kids will like it and adults won't be bored. That's good enough for me.

Newt's movie review

It was a cute, nice movie and I was more than a little surprised that I liked it as much as I did. I'm not sure why but there was something refreshingly nice about the obvious fakeness of the sets. And Zooey Deschanel's voice is absolutely lovely. Check it out.
