AKA: Strangers in Good Company
Directed by: Cynthia Scott
Starring: Alice Diabo, Constance Garneau, Winifred Holden, Cissy Meddings, Mary Meigs, Catherine Roche, Beth Webber, Michelle Sweeney
Synopsis: A short detour strands a group of old women and their driver in the middle of nowhere when the bus breaks down.
None of these women were (or are) actresses. There was a loose script but many of the stories came from the women's real lives, and many of the reactions to those stories were genuine as they often didn't know what the others were going to say. If you've ever spent any time with a group of old women (or even one), you'll recognize the genuineness of it all. They're not acting, they're bonding.
It's funny and sad and poignant and simply wonderful. See it.
