Directed by: Monte Hellman
Starring: James Taylor, Warren Oates, Laurie Bird, Dennis Wilson
Synopsis: A driver and mechanic cross the country going from race to race betting whatever they have on themselves in order to finance the next race.
It's a slow movie about fast cars and freedom. It was dark and brooding and a little too slow, but it managed to get the point of freedom and abandon across rather well.
There certainly wasn't too much dialogue to get hung up on. Our heroes barely speak throughout the film, and their habitual liar nemesis rarely shuts up.
Can't recommend it.Added 31 August 2003 at 11:10 AM
