It's a fairly complex story that gets presented onscreen very, very well. The portayal of each somber, unhappy character is flawless, but I think Ed Harris gave the best possible performace here, though that may be because his character was the only one allowed to act physically on his emotions.
I can't say that I enjoyed it because it was filled with difficult themes, but it was very good and incredibly well acted.
