Directed by: Mark Romanek
Starring: Robin Williams, Connie Nielsen, Michael Vartan, Dylan Smith, Gary Cole, Eriq La Salle, Erin Daniels, Paul H. Kim
Synopsis: Sy the Photo Guy takes a little too much interest in a young family.
Heavy on the visual aspects, light on dialogue. Williams gave his character just the right amount of blandness which made him even creepier. And it got bonus points for the full frontal male nudity (Vaughn!).
I liked it.Added 14 April 2003 at 12:44 AM
Visually it was great with its use of vibrant colours and camera filters, each time reminding me this story is based around film and photography.
I thought the acceleration was a little slow but it provided Williams with a great opportunity to creep me out and wonder exactly where the plot was taking me. The suspense was further fueled by the fantasy vs. reality bits. It was good.
