There are a bunch of things I really liked about this movie: the camera work and editing in the opening sequence was very good, casting Cronenberg as a shrink was spectacular, setting the film in Calgary was cool, and trussing up a hostage in Christmas lights was hilarious.
It's a very campy, sometimes funny, little horror wannabe that reminded me a lot of "Angel" from the television series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
