It was charming and I laughed out loud several times. However, it wasn't quite as funny as I'd hoped it would be, probably because my expectations were too high after all the hype. It's still worth watching though.

I don't know if it's because I lived in Greektown or because I knew the area where it was shot, or because I felt like I knew each of the characters, but I rather enjoyed this one. They didn't seem so much actors as real people. The story was laid out well in advance, there weren't really any surprises, but it was still good in a real life kinda way; like an excerpt from the book of someone's life. But still a chick-flick.
