Ripley's movie review

My god, that's a hellishly long time to sit in a movie theatre seat. I swear my ass was numb when we left.

Oh right. I'm supposed to review the movie, not the seats.

It was great! Lots of action, awesome effects, stunning scenery, great acting. Gollum/Smeagol was brilliant, the Ents were very cool, Bernard Hill was very effective as Theoden, Gimli provided most of the humour this time, Legolas did more than stand around and look pretty, and Aragorn is still hot. Although I really wish the guy would stop and take a shower now and then. Or at least, wash his hair.

I highly recommend it (no surprise there) but if you can wait until the DVD comes out, your ass will thank you.

Newt's movie review

Gollum was great, Frodo was annoying, Aragorn was filthy, the Massive hordes were amazing, but it was kinda dull in places and that's what surprised me the most. Regardless, it was really amazing. Buy it and check out those fantastic effects over and over.
