Synopsis: A young journalist goes on tour with a rock band and learns about life, love, and honesty. Based on director Cameron Crowe's experiences as a teenage writer for Rolling Stone.
One of my favourite movies of all time. Hudson is outstanding, Crudup is pretty much perfect (not to mention, yummy), McDormand is priceless, the music is great, and the story is fascinating. I've seen it several times and it never disappoints me.
Several of the characters in the movie are based on real people, including Lester Bangs and Ben Fong-Torres. Also, during the "idiot poker" game, keep an eye out for Peter Frampton. He plays Reg, the road manager for Humble Pie, Frampton's former band. He was also technical consultant for the movie.Added 18 December 2002 at 2:35 AM
It's an age of innocence story set in an age anything but innocent. I liked it and I recommend it. I thought the opening credits were really creative and I rather enjoyed them. They fit with the movie entirely.
Crudup was amazing in the role and Hudson was absolutely perfect (not to mention, yummy).Added 27 December 2002 at 2:53 PM
