As sequels go, this one is first-rate. As movies go, it's worth watching. You should likely see Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) first (or read the book) or a lot of things won't make sense.
There are a LOT of spiders, so be forewarned.
When you are choosing a theatre, pick the one with the best sound because it really adds to the effects (which were great).
Myrtle really got on my nerves after a while, but I think she was supposed to. Ron irritated me a few times, but I think he was just over-acting. Harry and Hermione grew up noticeably, but that happens to everyone.
Go check it out; it's a good story.

The spiders were plentiful and huge but didn't freak me out as much as I feared they would. Partly because I know I'm not going to find any spiders of that size in my house and partly because my youngest daughter kept saying, "It's ok, Mom. I'm here." :)
Branagh did a great job playing a pompous jack*ss. One of my favourite scenes in the whole movie was when Ron whacked him in the head with a rock. I don't know why but that cracked me up.
Oh, and I think Ron is a real cutie so he didn't irritate me at all. :)
