I think I fell in love with Susan Sarandon during RHPS. She is a gifted actor, evocative, emotional, attractive, and there's just something about her that shouts 'innocence'. And Julia is Julia. They work off each other very well and this one turned into a tear-jerker. Catch it. It's worth the time.

I've seen this movie a couple of times so obviously I don't hate it but could it have been any more manipulative? Couldn't the writers have found a way for Mom and Stepmom to work out their problems without resorting to a terminal illness? Anyway...

The acting is good, there are some funny moments, Ed Harris is kinda sexy, and Julia co-stars. That last point is all that's really needed to get me to watch.
