Great atmosphere in this one and a slow build up which was cool. Some of the scenes didn't flow very well but I was constantly expecting something really bad to happen. The acting was quite good, too.

When I watched it, I didn't know that it was shot in and around a real insane asylum, one with a nasty history even (lobotomies were perfected there; the "snake pit" actually existed; the story Mike tells of why it was closed is true). I kinda wish I had because that would have made everything even eerier than it was.

This movie is different and for that alone, I think it's worth a rental.
