I've seen this movie a lot and it never disappoints me. And it still makes Maryann jump. The effects are becoming dated and I'm now able to pick out the inconsistencies and the errors and the cinematic tricks, but this is still a great movie. Harrison Ford is really convincing as the archeologist adventurer with a romantic side.

The makers of Tomb Raider (the game, anyway) were obviously inspired by some scenes in this movie.

The remastered version looks great. My kids said they couldn't tell it was an "old" movie. Ford was very good (funny and charming), Allen was annoying, and Rhys-Davies was amusing. Despite the constant recurrence of what my oldest child called "hero music", it was a fun movie and worth watching again.
